Just did my wedding recently in 1-Arden, actually was impressed by the events team, we were reassured of the quality and service for the actual day. After seeing some negative reviews got worried but we were told there has been drastic changes to the management team there and went incognito to dine a few times and was pleasantly surprised. My hubby and me were very happy at the end of the day as everything went very very smoothly and all our guests enjoyed themselves. Good job and keep up the good work.

Just had my wedding on March 2023. The 2 stars were given for only 2 reasons - the city view and garden view. The coordination work between staff and bride/groom was an arduous process. - after signing of contract, the responses were very slow. Sometimes, answers were not even clear, or it wld be “unsure” , no but justification isn’t given at all - timeline was given way earlier for confirmation, but when nearer to date, suddenly staff advised to edit it (but the wedding invites have been all printed out), hence unable to edit anymore - staff mentioned food tasting was D-1 month but wasn’t initiated at all, couple had to remind again and again. The food tasting is even not what was given during the AD (grouper replaced w sea bass, and couple did not consent or informed of the change at all). - a surplus of FnB credits present but was only informed D-7 away from AD. Staff did not give couple sufficient time to decide on the extra 3K credits on how to use them despite asking. Planning work was done months before but the surplus credits were not mentioned or brought up in the first place. Actual Day - poor management as solemniser requested for staff to wipe down chairs due to rain in the morning but staff mentioned unable to help as waiters are not a break (but is 15 mins before the start of solemnisation) - coordinator Jolyn was present during the venue however we needed to prompt multiple times on knowing where to find items, how to operate diff logistics (eg teapot and tea, positioning of chairs). Most of my guests were giving feedback that there was lack of hands on guidance from the coordinator .. esp wrt to the venue operations - vendors for fairy lights back drop had to enter the restaurant for setup but was being stopped by the elevator staff for lack of proper access however they have already submitted the permit for work several weeks ago I would not recommend this company (1-Host ) for wedding management. Unless you really really really love the venue itself. Do take caution.

Worst place you can go to for your wedding, might as well rent a high rise enclosed office building with tall ceilings and a mini garden that cannot be used as a relaxing place if it rains heavily. Get some cheap furnitures then throw a white tablecloth over them and add some candles from SKP and there you have it, your most luxurious Arden wedding atmosphere :) The drinks would have been fine if the bartender hadn't filled all the glasses to the brim with ice, making it so diluted i could barely tell the difference between cold tasteless liquid and the drink they were serving. Staffs were unfriendly and inexperienced. They don't really bother to ask how we are feeling or how they can make our experience better and even the supervisors were just standing around like some apathetic mannequins. Red wine was also nearly spilled on my tablemate's dress when the staff broke the glass. We were shocked that the portions were noticably smaller, beef was hard and fish was dry was fine but it went cold really quickly after a trip to the toilet. The 1 star is for the food

As a bride, I just had my wedding at Arden last week and I had a wonderful experience. The staff were all attentive and helpful, our coordinator Hui Yu was excellent in making sure we were looked after and things were in place, and there were no major issues with the program or the AV. They were also very accommodating though we overran and did not chase us. My bridal party were able to sort out any minor problems on the day itself. My guests loved the venue and only had good things to say about the food. We didn’t hear any issues with parking, but we did not offer coupons to guests as it’s only $3.70 per entry. Some suggestions to couples who booked this venue: - try not to have more than 150 pax though the restaurant can accommodate more - ask the restaurant to turn up the brightness (maybe even forsake ambient lighting) because the place can get dark for dinners - bring your own lights for the bridal room. It’s small but there’s more than enough space for the bride, MUA, and one other person. - if you have a stage at the platform area, consider getting additional lighting as it might be dark for guests seated at the back Overall I would get married in this venue again - there are a few teething issues but they can easily be worked around if you’re not very fussy.

Attended a friend's wedding recently and was thoroughly disappointed by the entire team's efforts. From not having staff around since the rehearsal up till the wedding day itself where things were badly set up, rubbish were left everywhere and staff were difficult to locate - it has definitely made what was suppose to be a joyous occasion to be one that was filled with frustrations. The only saving grace was the location and the waiting staff at our table - everything else was just horrible. We had to ask for assistance multiple times upon arrival and was told many times that the "manager" was unavailable and would only be "free 5 minutes later" but the time never came. It was down to the smallest details such as being told we would have two boxes to only have one one that day and being told to "deal with it" and having to ask around for a pen. The "reception table" was two very unstable tables pushed together poorly with a white cloth thrown over it and a transparent box, thankfully we had our own vendor who was able to help decorate the area to make it look slightly more presentable. Staff was also unavailable throughout especially when we mentioned we would like a rehearsal prior to the main event and arrived early before it but the staff were not even present to coordinate and again, we were told to just deal with it. We were expecting assistance for the AV system which by now we would have expected the team to be aware of the importance but the systems kept failing and no staff was around to solve the issue. Thankfully we had fellow guests who are capable enough to step in and ensure things ran smoothly - which is not something to be expected of wedding guests? The cherry on top was being told by wedding guests that the carpark coupons did not work and they had to pay for their own parking. This is definitely a first for us where there are no complimentary parking when attending a wedding. Overall the experience was a disappointment and we cannot imagine how the bride and groom must feel on their big day if we as guests feel so much frustration let alone them, who have been awaiting for this day, paid for it and have everything not go according to what was told. If you're around just for the location and views, would suggest you to just take a trip up to the garden and call it a day. Don't place your special day in the hands of staff who see this as merely another event and couldn't even be bothered to be actively present on the day and when we asked for assistance we were shunned by an annoyed face.
