Food - The food was exceptionally good. Every dish was a pleasant surprise. They were flavourful, unique, and presentable. The dishes were plated for each guest and the portions were really more than expected in a good way. Our guests and I were genuinely satisfied and pleased. 2. Ambience - The dining area set up for solemnization looked as they had in their advert: new, prim, cosy, and pretty. There were floral arrangements add-ons we could choose from. The staff also passed on my floral theme request to the florist and the deco looked exactly as I wanted. 3. Service - All good. Everything was smooth. The duration between each dish was just nice. 4. Contract - When searching for venues for our solemnisation, we were disappointed to find that OTHER venues do not actually reserve their private rooms for us. Based on their policy, they can cancel our reservation if another couple comes by and wants to book the entire restaurant (even if we place a deposit). It was a deal breaker for us. So, we were happy that Yan's policy was different. One suggestion though is to make sure your requests/the agreed upon services are listed in the contract. Their default contract template does not include everything. Overall, very happy we went with YAN.

Service was questionable. 1.5 staffs for 4tables of 10, had to wait quite awhile for wine and tea top-ups. 0.5 staffs due to staff being more attentive to another wedding happening in the other neighbouring room and the full '1' eas only there during later timing. Blame Labour crunch or bad planning as we may, but sad first adjacent experience with an high-end Chinese restaurant.

Service was questionable. 1.5 staffs for 4tables of 10, had to wait quite awhile for wine and tea top-ups. 0.5 staffs due to staff being more attentive to another wedding happening in the other neighbouring room and the full '1' eas only there during later timing. Blame Labour crunch or bad planning as we may, but sad first adjacent experience with an high-end Chinese restaurant.

However, there was some miscommunication on drinks served during reception (guests were told that drinks were free flow and that they could order what they wanted when it was not agreed upon by us ). We foot the bill for all the drinks in the end. Overall great food and good atmosphere . Just that service and communication is a little lacking
