Had our wedding reception dinner in the private dining room. The service before, during and after the event was exemplary. We never had an empty glass nor was an empty plate left for too long. The food was well prepared, well portioned and delicious. We arrived early and the team ensured we were accommodated and they went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable at all times. Jen was very accommodating and responsive during the whole booking process and is clearly a consummate professional. Overall, at Dempsey Cookhouse Bar and Grill you pay for good service and receive excellence.

We came here to check out if this could be a potential wedding location and of course we got to give the food a try! We had the highly recommended crispy salmon sushi, truffle pizza, bacon wrapped pork chops with apple compote and charred cabbage and ending the night off with a warm chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. The crispy salmon sushi was indeed a fusion quite unusually. I would think a lot of sushi chefs would call this an abomination because the warm potato coquette at the bottom completely altered the temperature of the fish, but if you’re open to a new concept this could be it. ($18) The truffle shavings on the pizza was very authentic, but I was looking forward to a thin-crusted crispy pizza base rather than a chewy bread version. But well my boyfriend adored it and felt that it was thin enough for a bread version ($36) For me, I enjoyed the pork chops the most out of all the dishes we ordered. Having a mouthful of pork and apple compote together elevated the whole gastronomic experience. It was a good blend of sweet and saltiness. While I thoroughly enjoyed the burnt cabbage for its aroma and texture, it was too oily for my liking ($40) Lastly, we had the warm chocolate cake or what you would commonly call molten lava cake. I have to say the flowing chocolate had too much of a batter taste, felt as though I was trying my cake mixture before throwing it in the oven. I had high expectations for this was the chef who began the trend but I guess the first may not always be the best ($12)
