Attended a lunch wedding at the main ballroom and service was horrible, which was a pity as the food was really quite good. Service was super rushed - we had three courses served and cleared in less than 30 minutes, and the servers were tactless in the way they cleared our dishes. We were not done with the first course which was placed in the middle and the server was already clearing away despite us having our chopsticks still frantically trying to pick up our food and us asking her to wait. We also had a guest at our table who was part of the wedding party and hence had no time to eat and even though we had specifically told the server not to clear his portion, another of her colleague still attempted to do so and didn't stop until I kicked up a fuss and wanted to see their manager. Although it was not entirely their fault, they clearly just needed a lot more training than what they were getting or not getting, it was definitely a horrible experience for us guests. Especially for our table which had young kids, having to attend to our kids before we had time to eat ourselves meant that we were a little slower in finishing our food. This is a place that I definitely hope I will not have to come back for any weddings or host any of my own events at.

My first night was disappointing as I ordered a room service, and when it arrived, the fork was really dirty - with a descent amount of food still stuck to it. Disgusting really. That night the neighbours were very loud so I hardly got any sleep. The pool area is beautiful but gets very busy. I stayed for 4 nights, and 3 out of 4 had a wedding on, so the hotel was very busy not just with hotel guests, but also those attending weddings. The service was ok, but I expected more for the rating this hotel has (and the $$$$$ it charges per night).

When there for a wedding. Food was average at best and service was below average. For example, asked for warm water but had to ask 2 different servers before it was given. However, the last server that gave the warm water was quick. Which boiled down to training and attitude of individual staff. Hope Parkroyal can do better.

1st wedding dinner at the restaurant at hotel. It was very well done and staff were very attentive. Wonderful food and good atmosphere.
