New Fut Kai Vegetarian Restaurant

New Fut Kai catered our wedding at YWCA Fort Canning in December 2024. They provided half of the buffet for our wedding dinner with the rest of the food provided by the venue. They were able to provide a fully vegan menu and we could fully customise the menu to our liking in terms of the final dishes. The food was absolutely delicious (especially the sambal 'fish' and the tomato soup) and received many compliments from the guests, most of whom were not vegetarian or vegan. Apologies, we didn't get many photos of the food except for the spring rolls. Their catering prices are very reasonable and Cheryl was easy to liaise with. Would highly recommend them if you are planning to have a vegetarian caterer at your event.

We recently celebrated our ROM wedding lunch at New Fut Kai, with a pax of 13 people, and we were happy about the dining experience there! The 7-course menu was well prepared, and the total cost was reasonable, considering the quality of food and service (note: a $50 deposit was required upon confirmation). The manager, Cheryl, was incredibly responsive to our enquiry and attentive to details, even providing tablecloths to match our wedding theme. The waitresses were friendly and professional. The timing of each dish was well-paced, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of replacing our utensils halfway through the course. The food was fantastic, with the cold plate and kai lan being standout dishes. However, in hindsight, we should have prepared softer vegetables for our elderly guests. The only slight disappointment was the red bean dessert, which was a bit too diluted for our taste. Overall, we highly recommend the place for special occasions.
