Min Jiang at Dempsey

My husband and I recently held our wedding at Min Jiang Dempsey and here’s our honest takes on the venue! We gave venue 4/5 because the space is really beautiful, and I love how you have tables of 4, 6, 10 to work with. It’s great for us because our friend groups are smaller, so it’s just nice to have tables of 4 or 6. However, the VIP tables of 10 are behind the “stage” or where we usually stand at. So unfortunately, while our family are our VIPs, they are looking at our back view most of the time. One of my family members also commented that she’d rather sit where the rest of our guests sat, because they would have a frontal view of us 🥲 The contact we spoke with at Min Jiang was really helpful, even coming down on our actual day to ensure everything ran smoothly. However, we are giving service 3/5 as we received comments from several of our guests that day saying one of the service staff was really rude to them. I think that leaves a really bad taste, and overall just very unnecessary. Lastly, the food received compliments from almost everyone so it’s definitely 5/5!

Had my wedding lunch here. Sammi, Don and rest of staff have been amazing. Our wedding wouldn’t have been possible without their attention and support. Food and ambience’s great too. We managed to get through our special day with no hiccups. The only feedback would be to create a more comfortable space for bridal makeup. We did it behind the counter but lighting was super dim, and guests could see the process. Maybe the restaurant could provide some temporarily lamps and divider to give the bride a bit more privacy.

My daughter held her wedding at Min Jiang Dempsey yesterday night. I liked the idea of different table settings of 4, 5 or 6 or even 10 per table. It makes interaction so easy. Not only that, the plated food served is of a certain standard and quality. Their service staff are courteous, helpful and respond. There was a staff that even double checked that all at our table has been served the dessert and not one was missed out. I certainly will recommend this venue to couples who likes the idea of a small scale wedding meal. And I will definitely return for a meal the next time. Thanks for making her wedding memorable.

Wedding banquet planning - realistic feedback for any other couples planning for a wedding here: - Expect great food but subpar to zero customer service when you plan for your wedding here. - Lack of follow-up with changing personnel from Goodwood Park Hotel who don't handover properly - 2 weeks heading to wedding actual day but no response or acknowledgement to guest list or logistics requests despite multiple emails to everchanging PICs If you are looking for a real simple set-up where the place just serves food meets expectations/does not disappoint, this would be a good option because tummies will definitely be happy. If you wish for pre-wedding customer service that typically comes with a banquet event that helps with your planning with vendors, tea ceremony for family etc., look elsewhere. No turning back for me as deposit locked in. Might have been good for other couples with past banquet managers from Goodwood Park hotel, but this is my experience for wedding planning July 2023.

Very pretty place and environment. Food and service are great and ofcourse price is also higher but surely worth it. My daughter's wedding is here and so nice arranged.
