"CasaBayu was the most dreamy wedding venue we could have had our wedding at, its perfect for..."

"captured the raw emotions, laughter, and little in-between moments of our guests."
I had the privilege of attending a wedding lunch at Jiak Kim House, and I can say without hesitation that this was one of the best, if not the absolute best, wedding meals I have ever experienced. The 5-course menu was a masterful blend of creativity, local flavours, and fine-dining execution. The meal began with a trio of stunning appetisers: 1. Mushroom Herbal Tea 'Macchiato': This was a showstopper. The 'Macchiato' itself was a deeply earthy and comforting fermented mushroom essence served in a tall glass, topped with a light, savoury peppercorn foam. It was served alongside a warm, fluffy bread that had a delightful surprise of century egg in the centre. This paired wonderfully with a rich chilli crab paste, creating a truly unique and savoury combination. 2. Tingkat of Memories: A brilliant concept. This was a platter of exquisite bites served in beautiful wooden tingkat boxes. It included a 7-Herbed Crab Cake, a rich Lamb Goulash Croquette, a flavourful Spanish Mackerel Otak Otak, and a tender Chicken Skewer with cashew sauce. Each item was distinct and delicious. 3. Chilled Crab and Jellyfish: A refreshing and elegant dish. Sweet Alaskan King Crab and shredded jellyfish were perfectly balanced by a sharp, surprising Soursop Sorbet and a tangy Thai Green Pepper Sauce. For the main course, I chose the Miso Marmite Iberico Pork Chop. This was pure perfection. The pork was incredibly tender and juicy, glazed with a rich, umami-packed Miso Marmite sauce. It was served with a silky-smooth potato mousseline and a bright, zesty Mango Habanero Salsa that cut through the richness. Finally, the dessert was a stunning reinterpretation of a classic: Black Forest. This was a beautiful, modern creation featuring textures of dark chocolate, an incredibly unique and earthy Buah Keluak Ganache, and a light Kirsch Cream Namelaka. Every single dish was thoughtful, beautifully presented, and, most importantly, absolutely delicious. Jiak Kim House has set a new standard for wedding and event dining. An unforgettable experience.
