— Always a wonderful time celebrating weddings at the Empress. This restaurant is elegantly designed for both lunch and dinner wedding receptions and located in the ACM, just a short walk across the Cavenagh Bridge from Fullerton Hotel. Their signature Empress Fried Rice is one of my favourite fried rice to get in Singapore. Great wedding venue for couples looking for something different from the hotel banquet setting. Had our wedding lunch at Empress and we were super happy with how everything went! In the weeks leading up to the event, we received exceptional support from Teresa. She always responded meticulously to all our questions + was very professional and on top of things. Super kudos to her! Natalie also patiently helped show us around when we went to recce the area. On the day itself, restaurant manager Maggie was cheerful, proactive and took great care of us. The wait staff were also helpful, and the florist did a great job putting together arrangements that we requested. Our guests really enjoyed the food, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Thank you to the Empress team!

it was easy liaising with the Empress team about the wedding. Everything was through email, and the co-ordinator (mine was Jackson) always replies promptly (within few days max, sometimes the day after) and he always refers to the previous emails to make sure we are on the same page for the discussions. The Empress team was honest and upfront since the beginning, and Jackson was very helpful. Unfortunately, there seemed to be some cock-ups on the AD, which resulted in a delay in the entire timeline and the videos in my sister’s speech slides also could not play for some reason. Still, Jackson and team took a lot of initiative and I didn’t have to worry much. Jackson always offers suggestions, and he never pressured us into paying more. Instead, he advised us to do away with some things to save costs, which we appreciated. The reviews for the food were also great, as per what we had heard since we considered having our wedding at Empress. It was unfortunate that it rained on our AD, but no regrets holding our wedding at Empress as we wanted a small, intimate, cosy setting which serves Chinese cuisine and is wheelchair-friendly and Empress checks all the boxes. Empress also allowed us to head down to make instalment payments monthly, which was great for me collecting miles. Overall, no regrets holding our wedding at Empress!

For those who intend to hold a wedding lunch here, please be warned that it's a risk you'll have to take, as booking is only available 2 months before your planned date, and the restaurant might release the slot to someone else without informing you, even when you are already in midst of communicating with them. We wrote in exactly 2 months before our planned wedding lunch date to request for a booking, as instructed. The restaurant replied us to inform that the date was available, but did not specify any follow-up required and deadline for us to reply. When we further clarified on how to proceed with the booking, the restaurant told us that the venue had been reserved by someone else and simply asked us for another preferred date. I noticed from a previous review that this is not uncommon.

We just had our wedding here yesterday and Jack is the best coordinator we have come across. We looked at a few venues and none of them came close to Jack’s professionalism. He really made sure our walk ins, tea ceremony, music, AV all flowed smoothly, briefing us during rehearsal and also before each segment. He’s ridiculously good at his job and we’re so happy to have chosen Empress as our wedding venue!! The ambience during lunch time was perfect too 👌🏻 A+++++ for service
