On our 10 years wedding anniversary me and my husband we decided to have our lunch here at dads corner we order shellout for 2 pax, chicken with salted egg, seabass fish and ondeh cake. The staff entertain us he is very patience he talk to us while waiting for our food to be ready. He did read out recite prayers for our 10years of marriage. Im so touched with his sincerely attitude. I will recommended this place to anyone who want to have their foods here. And the foods so yummy we feel so satisfied.

I’m writing this review in advance before the event kicks in. In summary: We were looking for a wedding venue in the west and Dad’s corner (DC) pop-up in our news feed. We arranged a meeting at your venue to recce and to find out more about your package. We first expressed our concern about the inconsistent trend in the covid cases that might affect the safe management measures. We primarily emphasise on what would happen if we choose to forgo the package - we were assured that we could make use of the $500 deposit for another purpose (assuming DC run a restaurant on a daily basis). Thus, we signed the contract almost immediately on the same day for a “solemnisation package for 50 pax”. [[Communication issue]] We were given a point of contact via Whatsapp, however, response was slow and were kept redirected to email - which is understandable but super inconvenient. [[Signed Contract]] Certain things were taken out after the contract was already been signed by us. Example, the prayer room / changing room, Door gifts. Fair enough the items that was strikeoff was not listed in the packages. BUT vice versa it does not also say that its not inclusive. We even discussed needing to have the room and bento as door gift - nevertheless, their copy and ours no longer match. [[Change in Direction]] Since the new regulation that allows 250pax per seating, we happily wrote in to DC to check what can we convert the $500 into - as agreed previously. To our surprise, they mentioned that there seems to be a “misunderstanding” and that conversion is not allowed. In the email, DC wrote that the deposit is non-refundable and we were asked if we would like to proceed with the cancellation which only benefits DC. Let me emphasise that we weren’t even asking for a cancellation or refund, rather looking for a solution that benefits us both as client and vendor. Moreover, our event is months away and ultimately DC doesn’t seem interested to cater to the situation that was assured to us previously. To add on, before this complication, we requested if its possible to convert the wedding package into a bento pack only - and DC acknowledge this with a quote. Thus, we’re wondering why is there double standard in this grey area. Conversion was promised, then allowed in between but now its not allowed at all? It wouldn’t be an issue if you guys didn’t promise us of the flexibility in the first place, thus, we would’n even sign-up for it. Miscommunication seems to be an issue here and we believe that DC will handle this internally. However, we also trust that you won’t back-out from your promise as holding a wedding at your venue is no longer an option. Moving forward, we’re still waiting for some favourable response from DC for a solution that works for both of us. Regards, Your client.
