Beautiful venue for a wedding or event. So rustic and elegant. Made me feel happy for the bride/groom that they got this venue!

Attended Malay wedding here. These buildings were former army officers' bunk. Remind me of the old housing in the 70s & 80s. Something nostalgia and different. Do not take Bus here. The main road is far, and u might get lost in this area.

Had my wedding here couple days ago and must say it’s the best decision my wife and I made! Catering and food was so delicious and portion was very generous! The decor was also beautiful and impeccable and only fresh flowers used for the event! Highly recommend the Bay Laurel team! My wife and I planned the wedding from far away in Perth and they were very responsive every step of the way and also accommodated to our schedule when we had a couple days to view the venue when we have short trips back to Singapore! Special thanks to Kak Mas, Abg Imran and Ayu for making our special once in a lifetime day the best and better than what we expected! We are very happy with the service and would highly recommend!!

Very good place to have wedding
We had our wedding at Bay Laurel and there are a few things that I would like to share. (Please take note that this feedback is purely based on my partner, families, guests, and my own experiences). Venue/Catering: - The venue was really nice and had a cozy ambience for an intimate wedding. The decoration and seating arrangements were beautifully arranged with a lot of fresh flowers. - The food was delicious too. Service and Staff Members: - The staff and waiters were not so friendly and approachable (e.g., unfriendly/unhappy faces). - The waiters were not attentive to the needs of the guests and communication among the staff can be improved too (i.e. when we already communicated with one waiter, the other waiter asked why we didn't inform them). - The staff were still seated and eating in the dining hall when our second wedding session was about to start. Our guests had already arrived and we needed to assign them to their seats. When one of our bridesmaids asked, they said we should register our guests first. However, after registering, aren't they supposed to go to their seats? Additionally, we were not made aware that staff were supposed to sit there to eat. - Waiting time between courses and the order in which the food was served (ie. serving from front to back or back to front) could be improved. For e.g., Table 2 just received their food, while Table 6 was already done eating their food. It’s obvious that there’s a lack of manpower during the first session. The waiter even asked my guests to pass the plate of food to the person sitting beside them. - Some of our families who stayed over till the 2nd session mentioned that when they asked for water, the staff rejected their requests. We were not aware that Bay Laurel was very strict on this, if we knew, we would’ve prepared some water for ourselves. - Some of our guests who were supposed to be seated indoors did not manage to come. Hence, my mom decided to bring some of the guests seated outdoors to sit inside. As a courtesy, my mom decided to inform one of the staff just to let him know (even though my mom doesn't even have to do that). After she informed him, he told my mom that she cannot do that, she should follow the name list. But my question here is, what’s the issue? We paid for all the seats, so regardless of whether our guests were assigned to sit indoors or outdoors, it didn't matter. Furthermore, it was my bridesmaid who was in charge of registration and not one of their staff. So this did not make sense to us. Event Planner: Lastly, we were appointed to work with one of their Event Planners as we plan for our wedding. For the short period of time that we have worked and communicated with her, overall, it was an unpleasant experience. She was not very forthcoming and seemed unfriendly. We expected her to be more attentive and exude more excitement as we are first-time bride/groom who were very excited about our wedding. However, after our initial meet-up with her, it did bring our mood down a little bit. There were also instances during the wedding where the event planner was not happy that our guests arrived late (for the 2nd session), and said something along the lines of, “I don’t care, I’m going to serve the food”. It was unprofessional of her to say that in front of guests and our families. Before posting this, I have already left feedback to the person in charge. We hope that they can take our feedback and use it to improve their service. We wish them all the best.
