The Secret Patio @ Duxton

I visited The Secret Patio as a vendor for a wedding and I must say that I'm super impressed (despite seeing all kinds of venues all across Singapore on the daily). Firstly, their service is TOP notch. Anna from The Secret Patio was so friendly, warm and took a lot of effort to get to know the guests present even though that is technically not required. She came running with a smile whenever assistance was needed (she even carried a whole table on her own when we asked if we could shift it), and did not hesitate to make the guests feel welcomed from start to end. Her service is unbeatable and you can feel that she really loves the space so much. Secondly, the venue is soooooo gorgeous and looked amazing on camera. The natural light streamed in and illuminated the entire space beautifully. The size is absolutely sufficient for small intimate events, with a clean (and spacious) bathroom for guests to use. They also have great parking just across the location, with both roadside and gantry options. I had no issues finding a parking lot in the day time. Will definitely recommend The Secret Patio to all my friends if they ever require an event space!

Attended a wedding on 9/6, place looks clean & well decorated, only downside is it looks abit small. Only suitable for small gatherings.

Had a chance to host my small wedding here, a cozy place for intimate events. However, there are some hiccups along the way which I hope the team could improve along the way for other couples. The 4 hour rental package is on the pricey side, and it includes floral deco and venue coordinator. The deco this time was not in any of our choices (yes, we understand that nice deco is subjective) so we decided to engage an external vendor. As such, The Secret Patio did not have to set up their deco and we requested for additional 30min time to set up without extra charges (on top of the 30min given for free) OR some fee waiver from the package. However, our requests were rejected as TSP quoted that the deco is “FOC” and up to the couple if they want to use it. Our original coordinator Serin was helpful and detail oriented, unfortunately she was sick and 2 other colleagues had to cover her for my wedding. However, the coverings were not as familiar with the program and did not take initiative like the way Serin did. Ended up one of our friend had to double up as the coordinator most of the time to watch things closely. The covering coordinators also played my march in music at the wrong timing too, which was quite a big turn off because my dad and I had rehearsed many times with Serin. Hopefully TSP can improve and make it better for future couples who want to hold their wedding there! :)

We were warmly welcomed by Anna, we couldn’t have asked for a more friendly and organised coordinator from day one, explaining and answering all our queries and making timely arrangements to put together for our actual day of the reception. Whenever we needed information, she was always responsive and ensured we stayed on track in preparing our itinerary. The caterers CaterCo and especially Michael the in-charge, were always on the ball. Michael was swift in not only ensuring guests requests are met, he observed expressions and prompt if they required anything. The course meal was prepared well and served timely due to good coordination of the catering team. The space secret patio offered different themes of decoration based on couple’s preference. It is already a beautiful place on its own as a colonial style shophouse with its high ceiling and grand windows, but when floral decorations are added, it becomes a magical place. However, the space really only comes alive due to the people behind it such as Anna, Michael, CaterCo Team and Jeslyn. We could feel that they have passion and enthusiasm behind the work they do. It is a great start to our married life thanks to you all. Also, extending our thanks to the in-house safe distancing ambassador to ensure guidelines are met.
