The entire planning process was smooth and reassuring, and on the actual day, everything came together beautifully. The ballroom setup was elegant, the coordination was seamless, and the event flowed effortlessly. Our guests had an amazing time and gave us countless compliments on the food, service, and overall atmosphere. A very special thank you to our wedding planner, Debra, who was nothing short of outstanding. She was attentive, patient, and incredibly responsive throughout the entire journey, ensuring that every detail was thoughtfully handled. When we encountered challenges in meeting the minimum table requirement, she went above and beyond to propose alternative solutions. Having worked closely with multiple hotels in my career, I know that this level of flexibility and initiative is not common, and we are immensely grateful for her support. On the wedding day itself, I brought my own tablecloth as I wanted a specific colour theme. When Debra noticed it was crumpled, she personally took the initiative to steam iron it — even sitting on the floor to do so. I was genuinely touched by her humility and dedication. It spoke volumes about her commitment to making sure everything was perfect for us. Unlike many planners who step back on the actual day, Debra remained present throughout, constantly checking in and ensuring everything ran smoothly. We always felt supported and cared for. We would also like to commend Ismail, Annuar, and the entire banquet and AV teams. They were warm, attentive, and highly professional. Despite a few minor hiccups and slight delays, the team handled everything calmly and efficiently, ensuring the celebration continued without stress. They were constantly looking out for us — making sure we were served, comfortable, and able to fully enjoy our special day. In addition, food was impeccable. Our guests loved the food so much they wanted to dabao it home. 10/10 will recommend! If you are still looking for a venue, i high suggest you go for their wedding showcase where they have food for tasting. I was sold on my first mouthful. Overall, the team’s dedication and heartfelt service truly made our wedding unforgettable. She handled all our requests with ease, even helping us navigate logistical concerns like bank limits. Most impressively, she managed my parents so well that they were completely at ease throughout the event—something that meant a lot to me. Her dedication and professionalism made our wedding stress-free, and I am incredibly grateful for her support. The entire banquet team was outstanding. From the full-time staff to the part-timers, everyone was highly professional and attentive. They served our guests impeccably, and some even helped me with my dress without me having to ask. It’s rare to see such proactive service, and it made all the difference. Moe, the hotel’s operations manager, joined in later and ensured that food and drinks were served promptly, keeping our guests happy throughout the night. Speaking of food, almost every guest complimented how delicious it was—truly 5-star quality! Our hotel stay was just as impressive. In-room dining was lightning fast, and the food was so good that my husband wanted to reorder the pasta he had just eaten! The housekeeping team also went above and beyond. Despite the post-wedding mess, our room was spotless, towels/ dental kits/ soap were all replenished and the cleaner even took the time to teach my mum how to use the coffee machine before making her a cup of coffee himself. That small gesture was incredibly heartwarming. From the wedding to our stay, Marriott Tang Plaza exceeded all expectations. The rooms appeared to have been refurbished from my last visit. They were very clean, comfortable and spacious. Probably more spacious because of the octagon style of the hotel, the rooms were more spread out with more room to maneuver around towards the window area.. Dined in the buffet, expansive offerings, delicious and value for money. The rare beef might have been the best I remember in any buffet, to include the Shangri La. And, the seafood was varied as well, and fresh. But the staff in the executive lounge were really shined and worked as an team, supporting each other through the evening. The lounge offerings were a very good assortment of food, from fresh fruit, hot dishes, horderves and deserts. A good assortment of beer (Tiger and Heineken on draft), wine and varied spirits. But the real beauty of this lounge is the service! I have stayed in Marriott, JW Marriott, Hilton and Ritz Carlton lounges over the years. While Ritz Carlton execujtive level staff are well trained, I can't remember a service staff team of waiters and waitresses that were as professionally focused and efficient as an entire team, in getting drinks for the lounge guests or clearing tables for new visitors to sit down. They were as good as the best I have seen, and better than most. Obviously they are managed well, and appear to be happy in their duties. They are "Top Shelf" and would be a nice training environment for potential new hires. A stand out was Yusuff Asyraff who appeared to hold some managerial role. He worked as hard as all the other team staff and greeted the guests in a cordial and welcoming manner. He is a "Keeper" for Marriott. .

1/24/20: This is a posh hotel. Their cafe breakfast is amazing! The breakfast is free for me, because I am Platinum Elite with Bonvoy. Their M Club lounge is nice too & also free for me due to my Platinum Elite staus. The hotel's food offerings are quite tasty. The staff are polite & professional. I received an upgrade to a suite but on the 2nd day. The suite is sweet! Being Platinum Elite has great privileges when available. The breakfast in the Marriott Cafe is scrumptious. They have food from all over the world. Checkout from the hotel was seemless: just dropped the room key card in a box & left. This hotel is in a perfect location. You can easily get on a subway directly below this hotel or on many buses right outside that take you to many attractions, all without stepping into the rain. There is a direct bus to the airport right outside, for example. Direct buses to many attractions right outside. I know it may be silly to take buses & subways for many folk, but I actually find it part of my sight seeing to watch the locals go about their daily commutes. It is fun. The staff gave me a cute stuffed mouse because I have Platinum Elite status with Bonvoy. 10/23: It's so nice to be back in Singapore 🇸🇬 & at this hotel 🏨. Easy subway ride from the airport 🛫 🛬, with a stop right at this hotel. The front desk staff lady was excellent.
