"she had foresight on flow of weddings, and coordinated with all the other vendors to ensure everything ran smoothly as planned..."
We stayed here for our 30th wedding anniversary, the hotel is a bit dated, but the place was great & we have to say a very big thank you to Ivy & Raylim for looking after us, they went out of there way to make us feel welcome etc these guys were fantastic. In fact we are looking now to book into the Furama City again for later this year. The location of the hotel in China Town is just perfect, great people, great food & drink & great atmosphere with no trouble......Singapore is the best. Again thanks to Ivy & Raylim, the drinks were great.

Attended a wedding lunch banquet and the ballroom was literally an oven. Aircon was down in the ballroom for more than 2 hours. When asked for explanation, none was given by the management . Heard from the newly wed that the hotel management is uncontactable and avoiding any form of compensation. It is a shame for such established hotel to handle situation like that. Definitely won't recommend anyone to patronise any Furama hotel chain

I attended a wedding here. The ballroom had faulty air conditioning. Babies were crying, everyone perspiring. Ball room remained stuffy and sweltering for about an hour or so, before the banquet staff, ballroom manager, and hotel management conspired to rectify the situation by bringing in...one small fan. Obviously the fan was pointless...so the hellish conditions continued. Not sure for how long this was endured, since we left after watching the weak response to the disaster. Felt for the couple, who looked distraught, since we weren't the only ones walking out of the ballroom. Can't blame people for leaving though. Safety comes first. I suppose the location is central, which is a plus point. If the facilities don't work, at least you can just walk across the street to a place which does.

Attended a wedding lunch and air con was down. No alternative plan was provided and prepare for such incidents making all the guests unhappy and spoilt the whole atmosphere.

We had our wedding lunch Banquet at the Grand Ballroom on 2nd Nov 2019. When it started, the aircon was spoilt for at least half of the Banquet time. It was hot and stuffy in the ballroom, making our 380 guests fanning themselves and some, leaving the ballroom to get a breather outside, many complaining to us and our Helpers. When we asked for solutions from the Banquet team, they said they had to wait for off duty engineer to come down and fix it, while providing us a few small fans (in the entire ballroom!) The doors had to be opened (even during our march ins!), and the whole experience was destroyed. Our 1 year of wedding preparation just went down the drain, due to a malfunction/failure from the hotel operations. The aircon did return halfway through the wedding. What was even more disappointing was that after the wedding, we were instructed by the director to report and send details of the entire incident to him, and what compensation we wanted. Imagine having to recall the entire experience and facing the brunt of the hotel's mistake from our closed friends, relatives and family members. It was terrible. Since 5 days ago (right after the wedding), we were told that the hotel management would investigate and review the entire incident seriously with the relevant departments. But it has been almost a week since and the hotel has not get back to us regarding what compensation or service recovery they can offer for us. We feel that the insincerity from the management, lack of customer service and focus, quality/promptness of service recovery is definitely not of a 4-star hotel. My wife and myself are still awaiting for the management's response, and their full explanation on this whole situation, which could have been averted, or at least be prepared for in such emergencies.
