When I went TGC for the first time, I was served by Stephy who let me try around 12 gowns in 1.5h. They do not offer decisive pricing and have affordable prices, which I like as I don’t have to be pressured by hard selling staff. I ended up getting 1 gown just because I was so impressed by their service. Stephy was really helpful and brought in gowns based on what I liked/disliked. They offered a selection of coffees and teas upon entering and my fiance had a good time enjoying the massage chair while waiting for me. I was very indecisive but they allowed unlimited changes up to 1 month before the wedding. Everytime I went, I felt at home. They also offered a selection of hair accessories and costume jewellery to go with the gown. Even though they knew that I got my white gown from another studio, they were kind to ask if I needed the veil. They are located at a not very convenient location but they offer free delivery and pick up service! Though I also had a hiccup due to this. During selection, I tried my evening gown without the cancan but during fitting, I was advised that wearing the cancan will make it easier for me to walk. I totally forgot about it and didn’t realise they didn’t include the cancan with the gown delivery. I only realised when I was changing for second march in and had to do without the cancan. But as the gown was altered to fit with the cancan, I kept tripping over the inner lining layers. I managed to march in with help from my husband though he had to hold up a lot of the gown. I didn’t know that my photographer had texted them during my style change and they delivered the cancan immediately within half hour. Even though it was not an ideal situation due to oversight from TGC and myself, I was impressed by the speed of their service recovery. Would still highly recommend!

For those that are considering a fuss free, convenient, minimalistic wedding gown rental, then this is the place for you. Pros: 1) The entire process from booking a consultation, to 1st viewing to final viewing + rental is really easy. No fuss, no muss 2) Sales people aren't aggressively pushy as well which is really welcomed especially for newly engaged couples who are honestly just shopping around during the first few meetings 3) You get a private room + dedicated sales person to help you with the fitting & everything else - You get allocated a 1 hour slot, but they do give some +5 - 10 mins flexibility over time 4) Cost is VERY budget friendly. 5) They delivered our gown perfectly in 1 piece to our hotel at our convenience. AND also collected it at no extra cost - All we had to do was arrange for collection on the day of return with the hotel concierge. 6) Even when we totally forgot about choosing the bridal veil, we got a just in time reminder for the sales POC, which was a huge relief Cons: 1) While budget & service is a plus, for those who are looking for fancier gowns, this place may not necessarily be the place for you. They did bring in some new designs when we rented our gown, but from personal experience, don't expect too much versus other more costly places. 2) If you have a specific design in mind, do show them of course, am sure they'll try & deliver. Overall, if you're looking for a budget friendly + good service provider & you're not super choosy on the gown design - Then this is the place to seriously consider.

I want to give a big shoutout to Stephy and Jenn who were nothing but a delight from the first visit to the last! Because of Stephy, I found my dream wedding dress. She was patient and extremely helpful during the trial session. I would have never chosen a mermaid wedding dress if not for her suggestion. I also had a enjoyable final gown fitting, thanks to Jenn who provided lots of useful tips and suggestion for the accessories! Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend The Gown Connoisseur to all the brides-to-be!

I would like to recommend Stephy as she was very patient, friendly, caring and willing to accommodate to my requests despite the numerous amount of changes and feedback. She gave us more options that suited my preference and body shape, with enthusiasm in providing a good solution for helping me find the gown of my choice.
