Aptly tucked away like a hidden gem in Raffles Hotel, you will find one of the best jewelers in Singapore. Evelyn's process produces unique creations that aren't just pretty but tell a story. I started admiring Evelyn's work on social media. My then boyfriend somehow found out, and decided to book an appointment for my engagement ring. After chatting with him, Evelyn sketched out a ring that was so unique to our story, it still makes me smile every time I see the ring. My soon-to-be fiancé immediately knew this was the right place to get the ring. He was so convinced of this, he even delayed his plans to propose for a month to accommodate the ring's production timeline. Sidebar: Yes, scheduling an appointment is a must. Evelyn doesn't really take walk-ins, which I understand because she is so sought after. And to be honest, the Storis store is in a secluded corner of Raffles Hotel – you would probably never think to walk by unless you knew what was there. (Raffles Hotel should thank Evelyn for her drawing power haha) I absolutely love my engagement ring. It captures the cheeky side of our personalities while remaining elegant and tasteful. No mean feat! That cannot be found in off the shelf rings or even I dare say in most custom ring shops. So it was no surprise that we went back to Evelyn for our wedding rings. That was an even harder feat because my hubby doesn't like wearing any kind of accessories + we are very different as people in terms of taste in what we wear. What Evelyn managed to do was capture who we are in a both functional and beautiful manner. His was sculpted to be like 2 branches. That gave his fingers "ventilation" and also was such that he didn't have to worry about scratching the ring (2 of his requests). It also allowed my ring to sit snugly in the middle, which I loved. On top of that, both my engagement ring and my wedding band also came together beautifully. It was pure genius! I cannot stop gushing about our experience with Evelyn. Beyond the creativity and the care she takes in everything she does, she goes above and beyond to make every bride (and groom) feel special because she truly believes they are. Can't recommend her more!

Let's start w/ mindset: Proposing isn’t easy, it's a decision for life, everything will change, there's so much to think about, & you want to make the moment perfect. O yeah, and you have to get the ring right. It's daunting. How do you balance romance w/ practicality? Tradition says we [the men] select a ring that will fit & represent our beautiful bride to be without her knowing? Talk about pressure. In modern times so many elect to take a practical approach. It's safer, I totally get it. But, Guys, go see Evelyn 1st. Before you make a decision, just talk to her. My experience, what sold me: Her process is so unique and helps draw out what's important, things you might not have thought about. Being from the US, and having never heard of storïs, I stupidly tried to just show up thinking it was like any other jeweler, just a showroom. I found it's appointment only. My Girlfriend apparently loves her designs so I reached out and made an appointment, still thinking I’d be going in and looking at pre-made rings. I’d done my research, took pictures of all her jewelry, for months had my sisters & her friends help discretely pull info out of her about what she preferred based on what she'd seen before. So when I went in for the appointment I was basically prepared to just find something that fit. Evelyn sat me down in front of her counter covered w/ samples, but instead of showing me any of these, she began by asking me about how we met. It was a conversation about us, our relationship, who WE are. This conversation went on and I found myself almost over sharing, laughing w/ Evelyn who all the while was drawing and making some notes. We talked about our first meeting, what caused us to fall in love, how and what kept that going, what it was that made me decide to propose, how I was planning to propose. It was such a natural convo. To my surprise as an introvert I was not only sharing but felt comfortable doing so. After a while Evelyn paused and said so this is what I'm thinking. She had literally been designing from scratch in front of me and had through the conversation pulled out things that were fundamental to our relationship to represent in the engagement ring. This was not just a ring, but a story of us. I was shocked, it was perfect. Previously I worried about balancing my GF’s unique style w/ our differences and how those all collide. In front of me was a ring that I knew she would cherish and would fit the moment perfectly. I didn't walk out w/ a ring, instead I pushed back my plans for a month, and I was happy to do so. Side note: I was so in awe I totally forgot to ask about pricing, she could have listed an outrageous number. It was that good. But that's not Evelyn. She has a heart for people, and this is not just her business or a job, this is her calling, one that she's so uniquely suited for. She broke it down, educated me on the gems, materials, and the cost was so reasonable I was stunned. Honestly I would have paid more going to a normal jeweler. After the proposal my now Fiancé asked how I found such a unique & beautiful ring. I told her it was storïs, the jeweler she’d followed for years [before we even meet]. Why I'm writing this now: Fast forward, we went back to Evelyn for our wedding bands, which are honestly better as she blended all 3 rings into a beautiful story that fit US personally. Recently when my now Wife's ring lost a gem on a trip we went back. We have referred multiple people to go experience her magic, and can’t say enough about her. I have to admit, we’ve stayed in contact for 2+ years now because she's just a genuine good human that has impacted our lives in so many positive ways. So I'm not just recommending storïs, I'm telling you that you're not going to regret meeting this amazing person & will walk away w/ a similar story.
