hello! just had my wedding this month at 1 altitude coast. i worked with sonder too for florals - aisle posies, dining florals, bouquet, parents & groom’s boutonierre & printing - name tents, menu cards & wedding signage as they’re part of my package with 1host. I did share my concerns with my wedding sales coordinator, based on multiple negative feedback from other brides that they lack comms/ forget stuff etc, and my coordinator relayed that message across to Sonder that i’m a very particular bride la (which idm as long as it gets the work done 🤣). I think that seemed to do the trick because the replies I got were quite fast & the end product was beautiful & rly made the place look great!

We had a terrible experience with Sonder by Co and it remains our biggest regret from the entire wedding. The worst mistake was with the hedges we had carefully selected for our solemnisation and stage decor. An entirely different set of hedges were displayed. As they only set up the florals ~30 mins before the solemnisation, I first saw it when I was walking down the aisle - imagine my shock! Apparently, they had been swapped with another couple’s. We were told that a label had fallen off during transport, which led to the mix-up. To make matters worse, our agreed-upon colour theme was not delivered. We had discussed and confirmed our preferences SEVEN months in advance, even providing a detailed mood board. We had specifically said no blue flowers, yet many blue florals were used at the reception - in fact, they were the key flowers LOL. This was due to the handover being done poorly, which is unacceptable given the amount of time and effort we had put into planning. To their credit, the company attempted some service recovery. The boss personally came to our home to apologise and offered a full refund for the hedges and a partial refund for the reception florals. However, the delivery of the apology left much to be desired. While apologetic, his remarks were not always appropriate — for example, telling us the other couple weren’t upset with the mix-up and liked the hedges (the ones we had picked), and noting that they have “only made two such errors” so far.These comments came across as dismissive and I honestly don’t see the point in telling us this. If anything, it made us feel worse. He also promised to send an apology gift (a box of tea), which we never received. While it wasn’t about the gift itself, a promise is a promise — and not following through only further eroded our trust. Overall, the experience left a sour taste. We should have been cautioned by their poor rating but gave them a shot as they were the partner vendor of my venue (Alkaff Mansion).
