For William Cheong - he’s bilingual and switches between mandarin and English quite promptly, especially the important verses - he will reiterate in mandarin. I haven’t seen him do covid weddings so idk how strict he is cuz my relative’s wedding was right before covid. But he’s quite responsive and easy to talk to (I contacted him before).

seems like Mr William Cheong have very good reviews, but then my friend had her solemnisation on 20 Jun had very bad experience tho... My ceremony was at 6:30pm and he was late for the ceremony and was so rude to my Person-of-Contact and totally unapologetic when all my guests was already waiting for him, including my live stream. He even told me off when I marched in unmasked with my dad (my dad was masked) as he insists that the current rules doesn’t allow for it. He didn’t allowed me and my husband to take off our masks during key moments even when the current restrictions allow us to do so. Throughout the whole ceremony, it felt like he was repeating the same thing and he didn’t really know how to host the ceremony and my guests felt the same. It was a really bad experience and I hope none of you have to ever experience that because truthfully for guests to come all the way for a 30mins solemnisation and having to experience that, it is really unacceptable. ^ here is her review on the other btb chat

Hihi, I just had my solemnisation last Sunday and I highly recommend William Cheong! He’s bilingual, knows how to engage our guests, making this whole session very light hearted

One of the vendor told us solemniser was late for another couple's solemnisation. But we gave benefit of doubt that it's a one-off incident. But on actual day, 15 mins before scheduled timing - he informed us that he will be late. Arrived about 15 mins late. We have also mentioned to him before that we would want to have the solemnisation process to be FAST , he noted on it. But during the process, he was dragging the process with unnecessary sentences. Long pauses. Even after the process ended, he wanted to have selfie with us not just 1 or 2 but I don't know how many ... So I didn't have the time to change to my tea ceremony outfit and rush for tea ceremony to catch up for the overrun from solemnisation.

My husband and I are an international couple, and we had our ROM ceremony via zoom. Our solemniser was Mr. Cheong, and we’re so grateful to have had him with us on such a meaningful day. He was very friendly and smiled throughout the entire session, which made us feel warm and welcomed. Since my parents don’t understand English well, Mr. Cheong kindly translated the important parts into Chinese, ensuring they could follow along and feel included in the ceremony. He used clear and accurate Chinese, which my parents truly appreciated. Thank you, Mr. Cheong, for your kindness and professionalism. You made our ROM experience smooth and heartwarming
