Rating: 6/5 ^^ It was a real blessing to be able to engage Jaclyn as our HMUA for both our PWS as well as our AD. Despite it being a last-minute engagement for the AD due to her previous cancellation (amidst the covid situation), she was not only prompt in her responses to me but also patient in giving me information where required and guiding me through the necessary details. As a vendor, she was always readily available to answer our queries and even offered her professional advice when we were clueless. I value the importance of connection and I love that Jaclyn was someone who was so easy to talk to and work with. *PWS*: We engaged her help for the 4 hours morning shoot. She helped us get ready and made us look great despite having morning eyes (uneven eyelids), oily faces and having to be in the hot sun. She saw to our needs very conscientiously (i.e. electric fan, water, umbrella) and also touched up our faces/hair as and when it was needed. She took care of us superbly! What’s even better is that she is not only a good HMUA but also doubled up as a photographer who took very nice BTS shots! *AD*: I was absolutely clueless when she asked me what kind of look I wanted because I don't put makeup. It might be easier to work with a bride who has some sort of preferred look/colour palette but I was a clean slate. Even then, she was very patient and took time to got to know me, understand my complexion, what colours I liked, helped me to explore different kinds of hairstyle/colour/eyelashes that might suit me best and ensured that it was what I liked. She absolutely nailed the colours for the eye shadow, the hairstyle and the whole vibe that I was going for, which I usually tell her as something simple but complicated. All in all, Jaclyn was very meticulous and professional in her work and we highly recommend her! She never rushed me through the trial session. It was more important that we got it right 2. She is interested in getting to know me - ensuring my personality shone through her makeup 3. She is honest and professional throughout. A genuine person through and through 4. On my big day there were some hiccups, she not only did my hair and makeup, even after she was done, she stayed to help to ease my nerves. 5.
