I ordered jewellery (for wedding) from overseas for my brother in law to pick up while he transits through Singapore. I spoke numerous times with store manager before ordering to make sure the jewellery is ready for pick up while my brother in law transits through Singapore. He agreed and confirmed that there will be no issues and it will be ready. I sent reminders to store manager few times within 7 days before the date of pick up. He gave no clear answers but considering all the due diligence work I did with store manager before ordering, I assumed all will be ok. When my brother in law was in Singapore and he called store manager for him to visit and pick up jewellery, he said not ready and it will be another week before it arrived. This resulted in me booking a return flight and accommodation just to pick this jewellery (had no choice because wedding was in about 2 weeks time) at a cost of more than SGD1000.
