Another update: 29th October, still no refund. Made police report a few weeks ago. Will apply for small claims tribunal soon. UPDATE: today is 3rd October 2025. He promised a full refund of $11,500 on September 23rd remember? When we kept asking him for the refund, he said we were harassing HIM. Funny how he thinks the world works. Secondly, he called my mom and begged her to give him till end of October, because he will be closing down his deco company & will be going for a job. So, if he tells you that his has sold off his company & is now awaiting payment from others, he is lying. Anyways, I have been notified that alot of his customers have been coming forward because of my review and I am very glad that my review helps to shine the truth on this tragedy. Read below for what originally happened: Our wedding on August 30, 2025, was nearly ruined by the complete and utter failure of BigFatMangoLLP (BFM) to deliver on their contracted services. This review is a direct warning to any couple considering hiring them for their special day. Context: We paid a total of $11,500 for his services, including venue rental extension. He has not refunded us our money yet. What happened: We are still processing the disappointment. We engaged BFM since last December, frequently communicating for months and building trust. He even promised us just one month before the wedding that he had the full ability to execute our vision (fully customised wedding panels and backdrop) We trusted that he was being truthful and had a plan. We believed that if he had been unable to do it, he would have informed us earlier so we could find another alternative. On the day itself, BFM's incompetence was shocking. The crew arrived 1.5 hours late with no tools, not even a drill, screws, or scissors. They had no extension cords, making all LED-based decor unusable. The main backdrop panels arrived at only 2pm and were defective, lacking the necessary holes for assembly. We were so confused watching their staff, who openly admitted they had no prior knowledge of the panels, and told us that they tried to assemble the decor with no instructions other than a single photo from their absent boss, Mr. Shahul Hameed. Oh yes, Mr. Shahul Hameed, did not even show up during the deco set up! Even when it was so obvious the deco was not going to be completed, he kept promising us that the full deco would be up by 4:30 pm (which was when the Nikkah supposed to start). We desperately wanted to believe him, but the chaos caused a significant delay to our Nikkah (we actually had to delay till 5.30pm). But NOTHING was decorated on the stage. It was almost empty. What was worse is when the workers were trying to fix a broken sofa when the groom was having his first walk in with the kompang... I didn't even know what to say at that point. After the mess, it was difficult to come up with a last minute plan to fix the stage before the second walk in, and the guests watched our groomsmen frantically DIY a stage because BigFatMango's workers left the area in a state of absolute disarray. Since the wedding, he has failed to refund the S$11,500 he owes us, which was supposed to be paid by today (4th September). He is now pleading for a 2 week extension, claiming he has no money to refund us. This raises a serious question: if he doesn't have the funds to make things right, how can he promise to provide his services for future clients? How can a 16 year old company not have the financial ability to refund us? Please everyone who is considering him, learn from our mistake. You deserve so much more for your special day than the stress and disappointment this company brought us. Do not risk your most important day with this company.

We entrusted him with over SGD 20,000 to manage our wedding, including venue and vendor bookings. He promised to handle everything, but despite repeated assurances, nothing was actually secured. We later discovered another couple had the exact same problem on the very same wedding date — he had collected money twice and delivered nothing. Instead of accountability, Shahul avoided responsibility and even lashed out at us when we demanded answers. Imagine having to “beg” for your own hard-earned money back, only to be yelled at by the very person who deceived you. This isn’t just incompetence — it shows a complete lack of integrity and respect for clients. What’s worse is the attitude. While we were left scrambling to reorganize our wedding at huge emotional and financial cost, he was busy galivanting around KL and Batam, flaunting a carefree lifestyle while ignoring his obligations. This speaks volumes about his priorities and character. Our conclusion: Shahul Hameed is not only unreliable and unprofessional, but also demonstrates a bad personality with no empathy or conscience. No regrets at all for finally settling for this events company to managed my wedding day. From the start to the finish.. Everything was taken care and managed well by Shah and his team. Meticulous in his every effort that he had put forth. He made sure my big day with my wife turned out special. Sincerity goes a long way in whatever we do. He did it! The entire set up was as what I yearned it to be. Highly recommended for anyone who is looking for a sincere specialist in events management. Shah and team was recommended to me and I recommend him too. I told Shah and his team.. Make my wife happy. Impress us... The rest was history! The food presentation was awesome. The wedding decor was so detailed... The fresh flowers!!! Ouh my.. And then the ride that came to pick me up. On time! Clean and the driver was the coolest one you can find! And the music selections were awesome.
